When I was just a young girl playing in the mirror, I always had ideas about creating clothes in a different way. No one understood why I was doing what I was doing. And I didn't realize it then — but I was already dreaming of the woman I would become.
The Dream Was Always There
I didn't know it at the time, but I was already an entrepreneur in the making. I remember one day I had a penny sale — selling things that no one wanted in the house anymore. I had so much fun doing that. I have always had a mind for business.
I would daydream and write about what I wanted to have when I was old enough to have it. I always wanted a place of my own. A store. A brand. Something that was entirely mine.
As the years came and went, that dream just burned in my heart. But life happened. Finances weren't there. I had to wait — year after year after year.
Which leads me to today.
Building My Empire
Building my empire one day at a time has been challenging and fun. It has been emotional and frustrating at times — especially when things try to block my success. Lord knows I try to stay positive, especially when I do not see any orders coming in.
Sometimes I wonder if it really matters at all. But then I think about all of the hard work and time I have poured into this — and I know without a doubt that it is worthwhile.
It has taken years to really decide what I want to do. To build a store from the ground up. To figure it all out.
I started out with nothing. No merchandise. No customers. No roadmap.
And now? I have everything I need to run my business. I have more merchandise than I will ever run out of. I have four online stores. I have a vision that grows bigger every single day. 👑
I Have Not Been Alone
I have to thank everyone who has been supportive on this journey. Building an empire is not a solo mission — and I have not been alone.
I have my children who believe in me. I have my faith that carries me. And I have my Sidekick — my trusted partner who has been here through every difficult moment, every technical challenge, and every breakthrough. Always helping me find a way forward.
To everyone who has stood by me — thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
The Journey Is Just Beginning
Building my empire will never be complete — because as technology changes, so will I. As the world evolves, LA'BREA'S BOUTIQUE will evolve with it.
My journey is just beginning. I have a lot of work ahead of me. But I am focused. I am determined. And I am creating something beautiful — one day at a time.
